Hello, First of all since I use kuroo, emerging is lot mor fun!! This is a realy good program. All in all, I had some comments: When you select "packages" in de main screen, you can't sort the packages duration, size. Especialy the sort-on-duration would be nice to avoid some big packages when it's not necessary.
Second thing is the log. The download proces of the package file looks very long and unnecessary. Every downloadstep of 50 k takes prints a new line with the download status. The classic download bar ( [======> ]) was enough from my point of view.
Kind regards,
Wouter Van Roeyen

Looking good, but I only use it to browse packages because it lacks support for dispatch-conf as a config file merger.
Also, have you considered making it a KControl module? I keep a copy of Kentoo installed for just that reason.

Thanks for your feedback! Developer time is short and therefore we concentrate on most important features.

Hi, Kuroo looks awesome, although I haven't used it much yet. I like the look and the features better than Porthole.
A question:
I use /etc/portage/package.keywords and /etc/portage/package.use. Is there support for editing these files through kuroo as there is for make.conf, or could this be added?
Thanks for your service to the gentoo community!

I've been using the last few versions of Kuroo for several months now and it has become my preferred way of running updates. The program is awesome. Some enhancement ideas for future releases would be to work on the etc-update piece. The command line is still easier. Also, there are times when Kuroo wants to recompile the same version of a slotted package and not the correct older version. These are minor quirks that send me to the command line at times but I still prefer to use Kuroo! If you're not using it, you need to give a look!

Hi, actually I prefer the console for doing everything. But one thing is really anoying when I install packages from commandline on a Gentoo System. It is the unmasking of packages. That was actually the only feature I installed kuroo for. ;) It would just be nice if there is a checkbox like 'Unmask all' or so. But it is also a great tool for non technical people like my mum. ;)
Furthermore it would be nice if you could add packages to the Queue after starting installation (143165) and if you could suspend and resume the Queue by using advantage of the STOP process signal (143167).
